MK-003 | Selling-point distinctiveness check
For a regular chat, upload packs/mk-003.md. It includes the shared rules, this method, and required references
Purpose
This skill delivers: A comparison of generic slogans and genuine differences
Separate features, benefits, and evidence; do not claim exclusivity without competitor data
Required inputs
Provide: Product specifications, competitor differences, verifiable evidence, and intended customers
Method
- Check the USP from the course material's three angles: exclusivity, personalization, and quantification
- If the same USP also fits other products, judge it insufficiently distinctive
- Quantification may use only genuine, provable numbers; do not invent data to make the claim more persuasive
Calculations and interpretation
Use only verifiable product differences. Mark claims lacking evidence as needing support; do not generate fabricated evidence

Activation conditions and full question scope
Use this skill directly when the user wants to assess an existing selling point, USP, or differentiation claim and receive a comparison of generic slogans with verifiable differences. First obtain the claim, product facts, intended customers, and readable competitor information. Even with insufficient competitor data, identify generic wording; leave exclusivity pending verification
If "How do we beat competitors?" or "Find our market positioning from scratch" also involves market research, new-product opportunities, customer-review collection, or competitive strategy, check the capability needed for each part. Checking a single claim does not complete the whole question. If the user merely mentions a competitor's name, first establish whether they actually want an existing claim checked
Verification cases
MK-003-C05 | The specification is true, but no industry comparison data is available
Expected: Functional benefits may be proposed; do not claim the product is unique or number one
MK-003-C06 | The information consists only of technical terms
Expected: Explain their role under the known usage conditions first; do not invent unverified effects

Help identify the product's USP (Unique Selling Proposition). This is also your first opportunity to communicate with the AI. It is good if it identifies the point, but if it does not get what you mean, make sure to tell it your thinking
