MK-079 | Trial-product design
For a regular chat, upload packs/mk-079.md. It includes the shared rules, this method, and required references
Purpose
This skill delivers: Specification proposals that lower the barrier to a first trial
Products occurring in the same transaction do not establish psychological motives; a product pairing does not automatically prove cross-selling effectiveness
Required inputs
Available raw records: the actual trial task, product instructions, quantities and usage, customer concerns, costs, and subsequent products
Method Steps
- Inspect what can actually be experienced, the quantity and time needed, product instructions, customer concerns, and costs. A small package must support the intended experience; low price cannot substitute for an adequate trial
- If customers fear wasting a full size and a small size delivers the experience, propose a small package. Operational uncertainty calls for instruction or demonstration. A longer observation requirement calls for sufficient quantity and a suitable review time
- Subtract packaging, shipping, payment, product, and offer costs. A loss-making first order is a candidate only within a provided test allowance, without imagined repeat purchases covering the gap
- Connect the trial to a full-size product or appropriate next step for the same need, timed by actual use or cycle. Without usage data, deliver conditional paths and request product-use information; the course's 10–14 days is not a universal schedule
- Delay repeat-purchase messaging or repair the offer when the trial is unfinished or insufficient. A completed trial with an unresolved problem calls for solving that problem, not automatically discounting again
Calculation and Interpretation
Available trial uses = usable quantity / actual quantity per use. Unknown usage remains unknown. Deliver the experience, adequacy condition, first-order contribution, next product, and information that changes timing
Check example (hypothetical): a 10 mL trial at 5 mL per use supports two uses, but the task needs three; increase to at least 15 mL. If the task changes to a scent trial requiring one use, 10 mL suffices and the quantity-increase requirement is withdrawn

Verification cases
MK-079-C05 | The budget is unknown, but materials can be organized first
Expected: Deliver the parts of the plan that do not depend on the budget first; do not require a complete questionnaire
