  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • 2 bundled files

Scripts, templates, and references the model can read while it works. Files are read-only and never executed.

  • Open source

Published by DemonDamon on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Agenticx Agent Obs AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/DemonDamon/AgenticX/tree/main/agenticx/skills/agenticx-agent-obs
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/DemonDamon/AgenticX.git /tmp/AgenticX
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/AgenticX/agenticx/skills/agenticx-agent-obs .claude/skills/agenticx-agent-obs
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Agenticx Agent Obs in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Agenticx Agent Obs on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Agenticx Agent Obs is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

AgenticX Observability Assistant (agenticx-agent-obs)

Guide for connecting AI agents to the AgenticX Runtime Observability center (/ops/logs: Overview, Traces, Observations, Sessions) and diagnosing trace errors or latency bottlenecks.

Core Capabilities

  1. Desktop & Local Runtime Auto-Onboarding: Configure ~/.agenticx/config.yaml so Near desktop sessions automatically report run, model, tool, and subagent spans (including reasoning thought previews) to the enterprise observability endpoint.
  2. Multi-Framework SDK Instrumentation: Instrument Python (agenticx, openai, langchain, langgraph), TypeScript/Node.js, or Go services to report structured trace spans.
  3. Interactive Trace & Session Diagnosis: Query recent traces, inspect failed tool / model / subagent observations, and summarize latency P50/P90 or token spikes using the bundled diagnostic script.

Workflow 1 — Connect Near Desktop to Enterprise Observability

When the user wants their local Near desktop runs to appear in the Enterprise Admin Console (运行观测):

  1. Inspect ~/.agenticx/config.yaml under the enterprise: section.
  2. Ensure the following keys are present (ask the user for base_url and token only if missing):
    yaml
    enterprise:
      enabled: true
      base_url: "<ENTERPRISE_PORTAL_URL>"
      user_email: "<USER_ACCOUNT>"
(The personal access credential is configured in Near Desktop Settings → Enterprise Connection.)
  3. Verify connectivity using the bundled diagnostic script (see Workflow 3).
  4. Explain privacy guarantees:
    • Uploaded spans include trace_id, step_no, step_kind (run | model | tool | subagent), status, model, provider, token counts, duration_ms, and 500-char clipped previews of user input, assistant reply, and model reasoning (metadata.thought).
    • Tool arguments and raw tool outputs are never uploaded.

Workflow 2 — Instrument External Agent Code (Python / LangChain / OpenAI / TS)

When the user wants to report traces from their own application code into AgenticX Observability:

  1. Read references/ingest-guide.md in this skill directory for complete payload schemas and copy-pasteable code templates.
  2. Choose the matching integration path:
    • Desktop Ingest (POST /api/desktop/agent-traces): Uses the enterprise connection header against the Web Portal. Best for developer machines, CLI agents, and custom Python/LangGraph runners.
    • Gateway Proxy (:8088/v1/chat/completions): Route OpenAI-compatible SDK calls through the AgenticX Go Gateway with X-Trace-Id, X-Trace-Step, and X-Session-Id headers for automatic span + token + cost capture.
  3. Keep span hierarchies linked by setting metadata.parent_step_no on child model, tool, and subagent spans pointing to the root run step (or active model step for tool calls).

Workflow 3 — Diagnose Failed Traces, Slow Spans, or Token Spikes

When the user asks "Why did my last agent run fail?", "Which tool is slowing down the session?", or "Show me today's token usage and errors":

  1. Run the bundled diagnostic script located in this skill's scripts/diagnose_traces.py:
    bash
    python3 ~/.agenticx/skills/registry/agenticx-agent-obs/scripts/diagnose_traces.py --mode summary
(If running from the built-in path, use the directory where this SKILL.md resides.)
  2. Supported flags:
    • --mode summary: Prints 24h KPI overview, error counts by category (tool / model / subagent / run), P50/P90 latency, and top models.
    • --mode errors: Lists recent failed traces and the exact observation step (#step_no, tool/model name, error message) that bubbled up to the trace.
    • --trace-id <id>: Prints the full parent-child call tree (run → model → thought / tool) and input/output previews for a single trace.
  3. Summarize the root cause clearly for the user and provide actionable next steps (e.g., fixing a broken MCP tool command, adjusting model timeout, or narrowing prompt context).

Bundled files

The model reads these on demand while the skill is loaded. They are exposed as readable files and are never executed.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Agenticx Agent Obs AI skill do?

Configure AgenticX observability (Traces, Observations, Sessions, Token & latency metrics) for Near desktop, Python/TypeScript/Go agents, LangChain/LangGraph, and OpenAI-compatible apps, or diagnose failed traces and slow spans. Use when the user asks to enable trace reporting, connect AgenticX observability, inspect recent failed traces, or analyze agent latency and token consumption.

Why use Agenticx Agent Obs on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Agenticx Agent Obs is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Agenticx Agent Obs in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/DemonDamon/AgenticX/tree/main/agenticx/skills/agenticx-agent-obs. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and bundles its files and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Agenticx Agent Obs?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Agenticx Agent Obs?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Agenticx Agent Obs with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Agenticx Agent Obs AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by DemonDamon under the Apache-2.0 license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
