  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

Published by flightclaw on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Plan Group Trip AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/flightclaw/agents/tree/master/skills/plan-group-trip
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/flightclaw/agents.git /tmp/agents
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/agents/skills/plan-group-trip .claude/skills/plan-group-trip
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Plan Group Trip in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Plan Group Trip on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Plan Group Trip is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Plan Group Trips and Multi-City Flights with AI (FlightClaw)

Plan a group trip and book flights with AI for everyone in one flow. FlightClaw saves travelers and named groups, searches multi-city itineraries across about 300 airlines and books all passengers on one checkout.

When to use

  • The user books for more than one person (family, friends, team).
  • The user wants to reuse a saved group, for example "the family".
  • The trip has two to six legs, or flies into one city and out of another.

Prerequisites

Connect the FlightClaw hosted MCP server: https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp (streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in). Nothing to install.

  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http flightclaw https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp
  • Cursor: One-click install, or add {"mcpServers":{"flightclaw":{"url":"https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json
  • VS Code: One-click install, or code --add-mcp '{"name":"flightclaw","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp"}'
  • Claude (web / desktop): Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector > paste https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp
  • ChatGPT: Settings > Apps & Connectors > Create (developer mode) > paste https://mcp.flightclaw.com/mcp

If the FlightClaw tools are not available, ask the user to connect the server first.

Tool flow

  1. Check travelers. Call list_travelers. For each missing person, call save_traveler with name (short key, for example jack), given_name, family_name and, when known, born_on, gender, title, email, phone_number, relationship, loyalty_programmes.
  2. Save the group. Call save_group with name and members (an array of saved traveler names). Use list_groups or get_group (by name) to reuse one later.
  3. Search.
    • One route: search_flights or recommend_flights with adults, children, infants and passenger_ages (age of each traveler under 18) to match the group.
    • Several legs: search_multi_city with slices (2 to 6 items of origin, destination, date, in travel order) plus the same passenger fields, cabin, max_connections and limit.
  4. Check the offer. Call get_offer with the chosen offer_id.
  5. Confirm and book. Show the total for all passengers including the fee and get an explicit yes. Then call create_checkout with offer_id and passengers set to the group members' names. Continue with payment and get_checkout_status as in the book-flight skill.
  6. Log. Optionally call log_trip with route, depart_date and travelers.

Rules

  • The passenger counts in the search must match the people in create_checkout.
  • Always get explicit user confirmation before create_checkout.
  • Show the total price for the whole group including the booking fee (5% + $3, minimum $12, already in total_amount).
  • Never ask for card numbers. Each traveler's data goes in save_traveler, not in chat history.
  • Offers expire in about 30 minutes. Search again if one has expired.

Example prompts

  • "Save my wife Anna and our two kids, ages 8 and 5, as 'family'."
  • "Find flights for the family from Manchester to Malaga on 2 August, back on 16 August."
  • "Plan a multi-city trip: London to Rome on 3 May, Rome to Athens on 7 May, Athens to London on 11 May."
  • "Book the team offsite flights for Sam, Priya and me to Berlin next Tuesday."

Frequently asked questions

What does the Plan Group Trip AI skill do?

Plans and books group trips and multi-city flights with the FlightClaw MCP server. Saves each traveler once, groups them (family, friends, colleagues), searches multi-city and open-jaw itineraries for cheap flights and books everyone on one checkout. Use when the user wants to book flights with AI for several people, plan a family or team trip, or search a route with two to six legs from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client.

Why use Plan Group Trip on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Plan Group Trip is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Plan Group Trip in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/flightclaw/agents/tree/master/skills/plan-group-trip. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Plan Group Trip?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Plan Group Trip?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Plan Group Trip with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Plan Group Trip AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by flightclaw under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
