  • Markdown instructions

    A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

    AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

    Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

    Published by inference-sh on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Elevenlabs Tts AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/inference-sh/skills/tree/main/tools/audio/elevenlabs-tts
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/inference-sh/skills.git /tmp/skills
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/skills/tools/audio/elevenlabs-tts .claude/skills/elevenlabs-tts
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Elevenlabs Tts in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Elevenlabs Tts on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Elevenlabs Tts is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

    The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

    Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Examples

Basic Speech

bash
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{"text": "Welcome to our quarterly earnings presentation.", "voice": "george"}'

Audio Tags (v4 and v3)

Tags in square brackets are performed, not read aloud. They are free-form directions: emotion, delivery, accents, sounds.

bash
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{
  "text": "[excited] We did it! [whispers] Nobody saw this coming. [laughs] What a day.",
  "voice": "jessica"
}'

Common tags: [laughs], [whispers], [sighs], [excited], [sad], [shouts], [slow], [fast]. The other models read tags aloud, so leave them out there.

Choose a Model

bash
# Long narration, stable delivery
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-multilingual-v2 --input '{
  "text": "Chapter one. It was a quiet morning in the harbour town.",
  "voice": "daniel"
}'

# High volume at the lowest price
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-flash-v2-5 --input '{
  "text": "Your order has shipped and will arrive on Thursday.",
  "voice": "sarah"
}'

Voice Tuning

bash
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v3 --input '{
  "text": "Fine-tune the voice characteristics for your use case.",
  "voice": "bella",
  "stability": 0.3,
  "similarity_boost": 0.9,

use_speaker_boosttrue/falseEnhances speaker clarityv3, Multilingual v2, Flash v2.5

Eleven v4 and v4 Turbo have two settings only, stability and similarity_boost. Shape their delivery with audio tags.

Custom Voices

Pass voice_id to use a cloned or designed voice (from elevenlabs/voice-clone or elevenlabs/voice-design). It overrides voice.

bash
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{"text": "This is my own voice.", "voice_id": "YOUR_VOICE_ID"}'

Output Formats

bash
# High-quality MP3
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{
  "text": "High quality audio output.",
  "voice": "daniel",
  "output_format": "mp3_44100_192"
}'
FormatDescription
mp3_44100_128MP3 at 44.1kHz, 128kbps (default)
mp3_44100_192MP3 at 44.1kHz, 192kbps
pcm_16000Raw PCM at 16kHz
pcm_22050Raw PCM at 22.05kHz
pcm_24000Raw PCM at 24kHz
pcm_44100Raw PCM at 44.1kHz

Other Languages

Write the text in the language you want spoken.

bash
# Spanish
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{
  "text": "Hola, bienvenidos a nuestra presentación.",
  "voice": "aria"
}'

# French
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{
  "text": "Bonjour, bienvenue à notre démonstration.",
  "voice": "alice"
}'

Dialogue

dialogue speaks a conversation in one take and returns one file. Each line has its own voice.

bash
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --function dialogue --input '{
  "segments": [
    {"text": "[excited] Did you hear? The release went out last night.", "voice": "jessica"},
    {"text": "[surprised] Already? I thought that was next week.", "voice": "george"},
    {"text": "[laughs] Nope. Everything shipped.", "voice": "jessica"}
  ]
}'

Up to 10 different voices. Keep one dialogue under about 2,000 characters and split a longer script into scenes. The price is the app's rate per character, counted across all lines.

Realtime Speech

realtime on elevenlabs/eleven-v4-turbo and elevenlabs/eleven-v4 is a live function: you stream text as it is written (an LLM's tokens, say) and get speech back while it is still coming. It runs over a socket, so call it from the SDK or the app's page, not with belt app run.

python
# pip install "inferencesh[async]"
import asyncio
from inferencesh import async_inference

async def main():
    client = async_inference(api_key="...")
    task, session = await client.live({
        "app": "elevenlabs/eleven-v4-turbo",
        "function": "realtime",
        "input": {"voice": "george"},
    })

    async def speak():
        for piece in ["Hello there. ", "This is spoken ", "while it is being written. "]:
            await session.send({"events": {"type": "text", "text": piece}})
        await session.send({"events": {"type": "end"}})   # finish speaking, then end

    asyncio.create_task(speak())
    async for frame in session:
        if isinstance(frame, bytes):
            play(frame)            # raw PCM, 16-bit mono, 24 kHz
        else:
            print(frame)           # {"characters": 54, "seconds": 3.9}

asyncio.run(main())

What you send, as {"events": {...}}:

EventMeaning
{"type": "text", "text": "..."}Text to speak. Send it in pieces as it arrives.
{"type": "flush"}Speak what was sent so far without waiting for more
{"type": "end"}No more text: finish speaking, then end the session
  • Speech starts once about 40 characters and 8 words have arrived. For a short line, send flush.
  • Closing the socket ends the session at once. Send end when you want to hear the rest first.
  • The voice (voice or voice_id), stability and language_code are set when the session opens.
  • A session ends by itself after idle_minutes (default 2) without text.
  • You pay for the characters sent, at the app's rate.

Voice + Video Workflow

bash
# 1. Generate voiceover
belt app run elevenlabs/eleven-v4 --input '{

# 2. Create talking head video
belt app run bytedance/omnihuman-1-5 --input '{
  "image": "https://portrait.jpg",
  "audio": "<audio-url-from-step-1>"
}'

Why use Elevenlabs Tts on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Elevenlabs Tts is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Elevenlabs Tts in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/inference-sh/skills/tree/main/tools/audio/elevenlabs-tts. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Elevenlabs Tts?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Elevenlabs Tts?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Elevenlabs Tts with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Elevenlabs Tts AI skill free?

It is published on GitHub by inference-sh. Check the repository for licensing terms. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
