  • Markdown instructions

    A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

    AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • 9 bundled files

    Scripts, templates, and references the model can read while it works. Files are read-only and never executed.

  • Open source

    Published by keep-starknet-strange on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Starknet Mini Pay AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/keep-starknet-strange/starknet-agentic/tree/main/skills/starknet-mini-pay
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/keep-starknet-strange/starknet-agentic.git /tmp/starknet-agentic
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/starknet-agentic/skills/starknet-mini-pay .claude/skills/starknet-mini-pay
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Starknet Mini Pay in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Starknet Mini Pay on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Starknet Mini Pay is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

    The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

    Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Telegram Bot Commands

The bot is non-custodial: it never holds keys or sends transactions. It builds links, QR codes and invoices that the payer opens and signs in their own wallet. Use the CLI send and balance commands to transfer or check balances.

/start - Welcome message and quick actions
/help                     - Show help
/myaddress <address>      - Set your receiving address (needed by /link, /qr, /invoice)

Dependencies

bash
pip install -r requirements.txt

requirements.txt pins starknet-py to the tested 0.30.x range. starknet-py 0.30 speaks Starknet JSON-RPC spec 0.10, so any custom RPC URL must serve a v0_10 endpoint.

Configuration

bash
# Environment variables
# Keyless public RPC (spec 0.10). Sepolia: https://api.cartridge.gg/x/starknet/sepolia/rpc/v0_10
export STARKNET_RPC="https://api.cartridge.gg/x/starknet/mainnet/rpc/v0_10"
export MINI_PAY_PRIVATE_KEY="0x..."
export MINI_PAY_ADDRESS="0x..."
export TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN="..."
export TELEGRAM_CHAT_ID="..."

Core Functions

Send Payment

python
from mini_pay import MiniPay, MAINNET_RPC_URL

pay = MiniPay(rpc_url=MAINNET_RPC_URL)

# Send ETH (V3 transaction: the fee is paid in STRK)
tx_hash = await pay.transfer(
    from_address="0x...",
    private_key="0x...",
    to_address="0x123...",
    amount_wei=5 * 10**17,  # 0.5 ETH
    token="ETH"
)

# Check status
status = await pay.get_transaction_status(tx_hash)
print(f"Status: {status}")  # PENDING, CONFIRMED, REJECTED, NOT_FOUND

Generate QR Code

python
from qr_generator import QRGenerator

qr = QRGenerator()
qr.generate(
    address="0x0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef",
    amount=None,  # Optional amount
    memo=None,     # Optional memo
    output_file="address_qr.png"
)

Payment Links

python
from link_builder import PaymentLinkBuilder

link = PaymentLinkBuilder()

# Create link
url = link.create(
    address="0x123...",
    amount=0.01,
    memo="coffee",
    token="ETH"
)

# Parse incoming link
data = link.parse("starknet:0x123...?amount=0.01&memo=coffee")

Invoice System

python
import asyncio
from invoice import InvoiceManager

async def main():
    # Opens (or creates) invoices.db in the working directory
    async with InvoiceManager() as invoices:
        # Create invoice
        invoice = await invoices.create(
            payer_address="0x...", # also the recipient unless recipient_address is set
            amount=25.00,
            token="USDC",
            expiry_seconds=3600,  # 1 hour
            description="Payment for services"
        )
        print(invoices.create_payment_url(invoice))

        # Check invoice status
        fetched = await invoices.get(invoice.id)
        print(fetched.status, invoices.format_expiry(fetched))  # pending 1h left

asyncio.run(main())

Telegram Bot

Run Bot

bash
python3.12 scripts/telegram_bot.py

Bot Flow

User:  /myaddress 0x0123...cdef
Bot:   ✅ Address Set
User:  /link 0.05 coffee
Bot: 📱 Payment Link (QR code) with "Open in ArgentX" / "Open in Braavos" buttons
Payer: opens the link and signs the transfer in their own wallet

Optional: Invoice Contract

This skill does not ship a contract. A trustless invoice contract could follow this sketch:

cairo
#[starknet::contract]
mod PaymentRequest {
    #[storage]
    struct Storage {
        request_id: u256,
        requests: Map<u256, Request>,
        owner: ContractAddress,
    }

    #[derive(Drop, Serde)]
    struct Request {
        amount: u256,
        token: ContractAddress,
        recipient: ContractAddress,
        expiry: u64,
        fulfilled: bool,
        memo: felt252,
    }

    #[external(v0)]
    impl IPaymentRequestImpl of IPaymentRequest<ContractState> {
        fn create_request(
            ref self: ContractState,
            amount: u256,
            token: ContractAddress,
            expiry: u64,
            memo: felt252
        ) -> u256 {
            // Create payment request
        }

        fn fulfill_request(
            ref self: ContractState,
            request_id: u256
        ) {
            // Execute payment
        }
    }
}

Frequently asked questions

What does the Starknet Mini Pay AI skill do?

Simple P2P payments on Starknet. Generate QR codes, payment links, invoices, and transfer ETH/STRK/USDC. Like Lightning, but native.

Why use Starknet Mini Pay on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Starknet Mini Pay is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Starknet Mini Pay in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/keep-starknet-strange/starknet-agentic/tree/main/skills/starknet-mini-pay. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and bundles its files and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Starknet Mini Pay?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Starknet Mini Pay?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Starknet Mini Pay with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Starknet Mini Pay AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by keep-starknet-strange under the Apache-2.0 license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
