  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • 22 bundled files

Scripts, templates, and references the model can read while it works. Files are read-only and never executed.

  • Open source

Published by legioncodeinc on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the App Primer Zero Stinger AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/legioncodeinc/vibe-coding-tools/tree/main/plugins/app-primer-zero/skills/app-primer-zero-stinger
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/legioncodeinc/vibe-coding-tools.git /tmp/vibe-coding-tools
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/vibe-coding-tools/plugins/app-primer-zero/skills/app-primer-zero-stinger .claude/skills/app-primer-zero-stinger
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable App Primer Zero Stinger in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads App Primer Zero Stinger on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so App Primer Zero Stinger is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

App Primer Zero Stinger

Purpose

Prepare any new or partial repository for a later build: organize private Knowledge, establish actual current state, draft the foundation PRD/contracts/schema, qualify reuse boundaries and deliver a wave-plan handoff. This is a direct-use composition skill, not a new specialist Drone or an implementation launcher.

When to use

  • "Run app-primer-zero", "prime this app", or "prepare this repo before the build".
  • "Set up the Library, sort the docs, and give me the state of the union".
  • "Create the contracts/seams/schema foundation and a bounded wave handoff".

When not to use

A bounded feature/bug fix belongs to Pest Controller and its specialist; execution of an approved feature PRD belongs to Smoke It. Existing current-state narration alone belongs to Knowledge. Do not turn preparation into unsolicited implementation, provider setup or deployment.

Procedure

  1. Read the workflow map and intake/authority. Record current scope, actual baseline, dirty owners, decisions, CI preference and supplied versus qualified harness capabilities.
  2. Resolve core dependencies. Load Pest Controller before routing; use Get Started, Knowledge, Library and Contract Writing for their owned phases. Do not duplicate their rules or claim a native role exists without the capability.
  3. Follow inventory/Library. Organize source docs only within authorized scope; preserve historical bodies and links; produce truthful current-state evidence.
  4. Follow contracts/schema. Draft the foundation PRD using the repo's number/lifecycle, full source-field ledger and native schema reference. Keep exact contract terms Draft until owner acceptance; selected providers are a separate decision.
  5. Follow reuse/waves. Pin specific donor modules, adapt scope/provider/runtime assumptions, and create contract-first waves with one integrator and exclusive paths. Count every overlapping worker and coordinator overhead within the effective ceiling; use explicit serial preparation when threading is unavailable.
  6. Follow verification. Validate structural artifacts and report actual evidence; run applicable ordered reviews, then deliver a coordinator starter and bounded worker brief. A valid planning artifact is not runtime or approval proof.
  7. Stop at the preparation handoff unless the user separately authorized execution. Preserve current approvals within their exact scope. Follow the actual deadline/retry rules and return the six-field report.

Resources

The templates and fictional example are indexed in README.md. Run scripts/validate_handoff.py on a JSON handoff for graph/capacity/pin/path errors; scripts/test_validate_handoff.py tests that helper. Neither executes work nor verifies human authorization. Read threading when installing or packaging and distillation when checking a domain claim.

Critical Directive

  • You must read all files and context contained within your skill.
  • In the event your core knowledge does not provide sufficient guidance you must make every attempt to search the internet, related knowledge base documentation files, and other available resources to supplement your knowledge prior to proceeding with your task.
  • Additional related skills can be found here:
    • Core method resolver: Get Started, Knowledge, Library, Contract Writing, Security, Quality and repository-health.

Ship Gate

Prior to committing any code to the repository you must utilize in order the security-stinger, quality-stinger, and github-repo-health-stinger. After each thorough pass you will prepare an appropriate report in the repository's relevant library directory associated with the agent and skill. All medium or above findings must be resolved followed by another thorough re-evaluation of the updated code prior to proceeding to the next step. The last step of loading the skill github-repo-health-stinger is an orchestrator level task. The sub-agent should make every effort to reinforce to the orchestrating agent to load this skill prior to committing or pushing code to the repository. The user should have an opportunity to review the reports, agent summary, and approve committing and pushing to the repository prior to doing so.

Bundled files

The model reads these on demand while the skill is loaded. They are exposed as readable files and are never executed.

Frequently asked questions

What does the App Primer Zero Stinger AI skill do?

Prepare an app's private Library, current state, contracts, complete schema baseline and bounded wave handoff before implementation. Use for app-primer-zero or foundation preparation.

Why use App Primer Zero Stinger on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. App Primer Zero Stinger is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install App Primer Zero Stinger in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/legioncodeinc/vibe-coding-tools/tree/main/plugins/app-primer-zero/skills/app-primer-zero-stinger. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and bundles its files and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use App Primer Zero Stinger?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with App Primer Zero Stinger?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use App Primer Zero Stinger with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the App Primer Zero Stinger AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by legioncodeinc under the AGPL-3.0-or-later license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
