  • Markdown instructions

    A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

    AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

    Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

    Published by roedyrustam on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Autonomous Tdd Debugger AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/roedyrustam/vibes-plug/tree/main/skills/autonomous-tdd-debugger
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/roedyrustam/vibes-plug.git /tmp/vibes-plug
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/vibes-plug/skills/autonomous-tdd-debugger .claude/skills/autonomous-tdd-debugger
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Autonomous Tdd Debugger in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Autonomous Tdd Debugger on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Autonomous Tdd Debugger is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

    The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

    Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Description

Transforms the AI agent from a passive code generator into an active, autonomous Test-Driven Development (TDD) engineer. When invoked, the agent is mandated to execute tests, parse terminal stack traces, analyze failing assertions, and autonomously modify code in an iterative self-healing loop until all tests pass (exit code 0)—without prompting the user to manually run commands or debug errors.

Trigger Conditions

  • User asks to fix failing tests or debug runtime errors without providing full error logs.
  • Directives such as "Write the feature and ensure all tests pass", "Fix this bug autonomously", or "Refactor and verify".
  • Phase 6 (Automated Testing & Quality Gate) execution in zero-to-prod-orchestrator.
  • Post-migration regression validation in legacy-code-translator.

Self-Healing Script Example (TypeScript / Vitest)

typescript
// scripts/tdd-runner.mjs
import { execSync } from 'node:child_process';
import path from 'node:path';

export function runTDDLoop(testPattern = '', maxAttempts = 5): boolean {
  console.log(`[TDD-Debugger] Starting autonomous test cycle (Limit: ${maxAttempts} attempts)...`);

  for (let attempt = 1; attempt <= maxAttempts; attempt++) {
    console.log(`\n--- Attempt ${attempt} of ${maxAttempts} ---`);
    try {
      const output = execSync(`npx vitest run ${testPattern} --reporter=verbose`, {
        encoding: 'utf8',
        stdio: 'pipe',
      });
      console.log('✅ All tests passed successfully!');
      return true;
    } catch (err: any) {
      const stdout = err.stdout?.toString() || '';
      const stderr = err.stderr?.toString() || '';
      const combined = stdout + '\n' + stderr;

      // Extract failing test location
      const frameMatch = combined.match(/(?:FAIL|Error:)\s+(.*?):(\d+):(\d+)/) ||
                         combined.match(/at\s+(.*?):(\d+):(\d+)/);

      if (frameMatch) {
        const [, file, line] = frameMatch;
        console.warn(`[TDD-Debugger] Failure detected at ${path.basename(file)}:${line}`);
      } else {
        console.warn('[TDD-Debugger] Test failure detected. Analyzing raw output...');
      }

      if (attempt === maxAttempts) {
        console.error('❌ Reached maximum self-healing attempts. Circuit breaker tripped.');
        return false;
      }
    }
  }
  return false;
}

Non-Negotiable Agent Constraints

  1. Zero-Human Intervention: NEVER ask the user "Please run this and tell me the error". You possess run_command—execute it directly in the terminal, read stdout/stderr, and iterate until green.
  2. Respect Test Integrity (Anti-Slop Pillar 2):
    • Do NOT comment out or skip failing tests (test.skip) to fake a passing suite.
    • Do NOT replace failing assertions with trivial tautologies (expect(true).toBe(true)).
    • Fix the production source code first. Only modify test files if the test specification itself is demonstrably obsolete or contradictory.
  3. Circuit Breaker: Capped at 5 self-healing iterations. If an issue remains unresolved after 5 cycles, pause to re-verify fundamental architectural assumptions.

Stack Trace Frame Parser & Fault Localizer (TypeScript)
typescript
export interface StackFrameLocation {
  filePath: string;
  lineNumber: number;
  columnNumber: number;
  functionName: string;
}

export function parseTopFailingFrame(stackTrace: string): StackFrameLocation | null {
  const frameRegex = /ats+(?:([^s(]+)s+()?([^s():]+:d+:d+))?/;
  const match = stackTrace.match(frameRegex);
  if (!match) {
    return null;
  }
  const fnName = match[1] ?? 'anonymous';
  const parts = match[2].split(':');
  const col = Number(parts.pop());
  const line = Number(parts.pop());
  const filePath = parts.join(':');
  return { filePath, lineNumber: line, columnNumber: col, functionName: fnName };
}

Deskripsi

Siklus Mandiri 5 Langkah

1. JALANKAN TEST RUNNER (via run_command)
   npx vitest run, cargo test, pytest, atau go test
        │
        ▼
2. FILTER STACK TRACE & NOISE TERMINAL
   Ekstrak file yang gagal, nomor baris, nilai aktual vs ekspektasi
        │
        ▼
3. ANALISIS RADIUS DAMPAK (AST CHECK)
   Cari fungsi implementasi terkait; pisahkan logika dari file test
        │
        ▼
4. TERAPKAN PERBAIKAN PRESISI
   Perbaiki implementasi di kode produksi; DILARANG membuat mock palsu
        │
        ▼
5. VERIFIKASI ULANG (Maksimal 5 Iterasi)
   Exit code 0? ──► [YA] Selesai & Laporkan ke pengguna
                └──► [TIDAK] Ulangi ke Langkah 2

Panduan Ketat Tindakan Agen

  2. Kepatuhan Anti-Slop (Pilar 2):
    • Dilarang keras menonaktifkan test gagal (test.skip) demi memalsukan exit code 0.
    • Dilarang mengubah asersi menjadi bernilai selalu benar (expect(true).toBe(true)).
    • Selalu perbaiki kode implementasi produksi terlebih dahulu.
  3. Circuit Breaker 5 Siklus: Jika kode belum berhasil diperbaiki setelah 5 kali iterasi, hentikan loop dan evaluasi ulang arsitektur logika dasar agar tidak menghabiskan konteks.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Autonomous Tdd Debugger AI skill do?

Autonomous TDD test runner, stack trace analysis, and code self-heal / Runner tes TDD otonom, analisis stack trace, dan self-healing kode.

Why use Autonomous Tdd Debugger on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Autonomous Tdd Debugger is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Autonomous Tdd Debugger in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/roedyrustam/vibes-plug/tree/main/skills/autonomous-tdd-debugger. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Autonomous Tdd Debugger?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Autonomous Tdd Debugger?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Autonomous Tdd Debugger with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Autonomous Tdd Debugger AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by roedyrustam under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
