  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • 3 bundled files

Scripts, templates, and references the model can read while it works. Files are read-only and never executed.

  • Open source

Published by timscheuerai on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Flowchart AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel/tree/main/skills/flowchart
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel.git /tmp/linkedin-funnel
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/linkedin-funnel/skills/flowchart .claude/skills/flowchart
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Flowchart in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Flowchart on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Flowchart is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Workspace: all context paths below (identity, audience, strategy, voice, brand, raw, output, index, log, workspace preferences and context scripts) resolve from context/ in the kit root. Read both the root AGENTS.md and context/AGENTS.md. Skill-local references/ and flowchart scripts/ resolve from this skill directory.

Draw an editable flowchart

Read AGENTS.md, the actual workflow sources and brand/BRAND.md. Resolve paths from this skill's repository. For a content funnel, read the strategy and stage pages. When editing, inspect the existing scene and generator, preserve manual changes and retain the current viewing URL.

Model the process

Identify triggers, inputs, operations, decisions, outputs, exceptions and feedback before choosing the layout. Give each nontrivial branch an explicit destination.

Use narrowing shapes for filtering, lanes for ownership and arrows for real dependencies. A taxonomy of pillars or test dimensions is a set of choices, not a sequential process. Top/middle/bottom describe content jobs; readers need not pass through every stage.

In signal-based outreach, distinguish engagement capture, buyer-fit qualification, routing, draft creation, review and sending. Label proposed steps and dated snapshots. Engagement alone does not imply buyer intent, permission or a sale. Drawing an operation does not execute it.

Make the roles visible

Read the visual grammar and helper API when authoring a scene.

  • Source/reference: quiet file card or compact list; no action-style header that implies execution.
  • Function/operation: square card, light title band, semantic icon, labeled input/work rows and a distinct output strip.
  • Skill: rounded card and contrasting title band for a procedure that applies context or judgment. Classify its responsibility, not whether its name contains AI.
  • Decision: short question inside a diamond, with labeled exits and explicit hold/retry destinations.
  • Signal/result: a compact event or result shape. A numeric result can use large type with its unit, population and date.
  • Grouping: shared alignments or a light container for a meaningful stage. Use different compositions for an overview, taxonomy, funnel and result breakdown.

Use semantic line icons for recognizable concepts such as a source file, person, company, context brain, calendar, message or verification. Keep icon size and stroke consistent. Each icon stays editable and grouped with its card. Icons are not a substitute for readable labels.

Use approved client tokens when available. The included helper defaults to neutral grays and a standard font slot; it contains no logo, signature, brand palette or client connections. Do not copy a reference client's visual identity or domain content.

Build and inspect

Use the named tool or existing project canvas. For Excalidraw, scripts/flowchart.py and its adjacent primitives.py build native shapes, semantic icons, grouped cards, embedded images and reciprocal arrow bindings using Python's standard library. No scene is created on import. Pass a theme and font slot explicitly when integrating with a custom canvas.

For other tools, reuse the visual grammar in their actual native model. Lucide is an icon library, not a diagram editor. Do not claim an SVG is a native hosted diagram.

Compute connector endpoints from current card bounds. Route long returns outside the main flow. Leave room for labels. Shorten, wrap or enlarge a card before shrinking its text.

Python estimates text sizes for authoring; actual glyph measurement and visual inspection are still required. Render or import using the available editor. Verify actual fonts, text containment, connector collisions, branch meaning, reciprocal bindings and image aspect ratio. Do not silently substitute fonts or flatten editable elements to make validation pass.

Open the rendered overview and useful detail views. A dense working map needs zoom; a phone preview checks hierarchy, not proof that every field is readable. Split a social graphic into fewer nodes or multiple slides.

Deliver the editable scene, preview where available, dimensions, viewing URL and any inspection limitation. Keep reusable mechanics here and domain content in the diagram's own folder.

Bundled files

The model reads these on demand while the skill is loaded. They are exposed as readable files and are never executed.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Flowchart AI skill do?

Create editable flowcharts, system maps and funnels with semantic icons, structured operation cards, distinct skill and decision shapes, and verified routing.

Why use Flowchart on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Flowchart is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Flowchart in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel/tree/main/skills/flowchart. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and bundles its files and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Flowchart?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Flowchart?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Flowchart with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Flowchart AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by timscheuerai under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
