  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

Published by mvanhorn on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Pp Asoview AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library/tree/main/cli-skills/pp-asoview
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library.git /tmp/printing-press-library
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/printing-press-library/cli-skills/pp-asoview .claude/skills/pp-asoview
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Pp Asoview in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Pp Asoview on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Pp Asoview is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Local build (current release)

Use the local build from this project or its promoted local library copy. It has not been published to a registry. From the project:

bash
go build -o asoview-pp-cli ./cmd/asoview-pp-cli
./asoview-pp-cli --version

Resolve asoview-pp-cli from the local build path before running examples below. Requires Go 1.26.6 or newer to build; no credentials or paid account for the verified public surface.

When to Use This CLI

Find Asoview leisure tickets and experiences in Japan, compare terms, inspect dated public stock and fee bands, and hand off a canonical booking URL. Japanese content is the verified first-party language surface.

Anti-triggers

Purchases, reservations, ticket holds, account/history access, other providers and guaranteed checkout quotes belong to other workflows.

Operating steps

  1. Resolve source IDs with inventory --kind regions or inventory --kind categories. Exact Japanese names or IDs work in filters.
  2. Run discover with native region/category/date/party filters. Use --query only as a local substring over bounded scanned cards. Inspect coverage.partial and coverage.next_cursor before interpreting an empty result.
  3. Fetch only shortlisted product details. Undated prices are advertised bands; lowest ticket price may be a child band. Use --full only when descriptions/manuals are needed.
  4. Use availability for one date or calendar month. Preserve unknown/request-only/closed/sold-out distinctions, source units and timestamps. Date validity and opening hours do not create a reserved slot.
  5. Use dated options when exact bands matter; select --slot from returned source slots when required. --party calculates an unconfirmed subtotal with exclusions, not a checkout quote. Preserve product and dated band age labels when they differ.
  6. Finish with handoff. It derives the canonical URL; current existence is verified by product, not handoff alone.

Unique Capabilities

These capabilities aren't available in any other tool for this API.

Worked examples

bash
asoview-pp-cli discover --region prf130000 --category 192 --agent --select meta,results.id,results.name_ja,results.booking_url
asoview-pp-cli product ticket0000049223 --agent
asoview-pp-cli availability ticket0000049223 --date 2026-10-02 --quantity 2 --agent
asoview-pp-cli options ticket0000049223 --date 2026-10-02 --party 2411665:2,2411667:1 --agent
asoview-pp-cli compare ticket0000049223 ticket0000012233 --agent
asoview-pp-cli inventory --kind categories --query 水族館 --refresh-inventory --agent

Replace dates with the intended Japan local date. Units, fees, cancellation conditions and limits come from source data; missing facts remain null. meta.sources carries freshness and meta.metrics carries actual network/cache work. Explicit projection can omit metadata.

Health and failures

Use doctor --json, command help or agent-context --pretty for runtime truth. Business stdout is compact JSON and diagnostics are stderr. Input/schema/source failures exit nonzero; empty discovery is a successful bounded scan, not a network failure.

Use --refresh for a fresh requested response, --no-cache to bypass cache, or --data-source local for fresh cache only. --data-source live bypasses business caching. Inventory refresh requires --refresh-inventory; default inventory reads never fetch the complete taxonomy.

Read README.md for exact limits, price/entry semantics and canonical evidence paths. Completion requires a relevant shortlist, verified requested public facts or explicit unknown coverage, and a canonical URL; no booking action is performed.

Future published-release reference

The following generator-owned reference applies only after a public registry release exists. This build is unpublished: use the local build instructions above; registry install commands are currently unavailable.

Prerequisites: Install the CLI

This skill drives the asoview-pp-cli binary. You must verify the CLI is installed before invoking any command from this skill. If it is missing, install it first:

  1. Install via the Printing Press installer. It defaults binaries to $HOME/.local/bin on macOS/Linux and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\PrintingPress\bin on Windows:
    bash
    npx -y @mvanhorn/printing-press-library install asoview --cli-only
  2. Verify: asoview-pp-cli --version
  3. Ensure the reported install directory is on $PATH for the agent/runtime that will invoke this skill.

If the npx install fails (no Node, offline, etc.), fall back to a direct Go install (requires Go 1.26.6 or newer). This installs into $GOPATH/bin (default $HOME/go/bin), so add that directory to $PATH instead:

bash
go install github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library/library/travel/asoview/cmd/asoview-pp-cli@latest

If --version reports "command not found" after install, the runtime cannot see the binary directory on $PATH. Do not proceed with skill commands until verification succeeds.

Bounded first-party discovery, lazy detail and honest date/party coverage. Human handoff only.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Pp Asoview AI skill do?

Discover and compare Asoview Japan leisure tickets, inspect public dates and price bands, or return booking handoff URLs. Use for Asoview tickets, Asoview availability, or Japan attraction comparisons anchored to Asoview.

Why use Pp Asoview on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Pp Asoview is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Pp Asoview in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library/tree/main/cli-skills/pp-asoview. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Pp Asoview?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Pp Asoview?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Pp Asoview with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Pp Asoview AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by mvanhorn under the Apache-2.0 license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
