Use this skill when someone needs to write their newsletter landing page, opt-in page, signup page, or subscription page copy. Also triggers when someone says things like "write my newsletter landing page", "help me write copy for my opt-in page", "I need a landing page for my newsletter", "how do I get people to subscribe", or "write the copy for my newsletter signup." Writes high-converting newsletter landing page copy using a proven framework that consistently achieves 40-60% opt-in rates — interviews the user for context, then generates complete landing page copy (headline, subheadline, value bullets, CTA) plus 3 headline variations using different psychological angles.

  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

Published by swan-gtm on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Newsletter Landing Page AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/swan-gtm/gtm-skills/tree/main/skills/daniel-bustamante/newsletter-landing-page
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/swan-gtm/gtm-skills.git /tmp/gtm-skills
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/gtm-skills/skills/daniel-bustamante/newsletter-landing-page .claude/skills/newsletter-landing-page
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Newsletter Landing Page in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Newsletter Landing Page on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Newsletter Landing Page is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Write A High-Converting Newsletter Landing Page

Write clear, compelling newsletter landing page copy that converts cold visitors into subscribers at 40–60%+ opt-in rates.

The Core Principle

The highest-converting newsletter landing pages all share 3 things:

  • Simple design — no distractions, one action only
  • Clear copy — specific outcome, not vague topics
  • Zero friction — opt-in form above the fold, visible without scrolling

This skill handles the copy side. The design rules are covered separately.

Workflow

  1. Interview the user (questions below)
  2. Write complete landing page copy using the 4-element framework
  3. Generate 3 headline variations using different psychological angles

Interview Questions

Ask these one at a time — do NOT front-load all questions:

  1. What's your newsletter name and value proposition? (If they've run the Newsletter Value Prop skill, use that output here)
  2. Who is your target audience? (Specific — role, situation, struggle)
  3. What's the #1 outcome or transformation a new subscriber will get?
  4. What are 3–5 specific things they'll learn, get, or walk away with?
  5. How often do you send and what format? (e.g., "Every Tuesday — one actionable framework")
  6. Do you have any social proof? (Subscriber count, open rates, testimonials, notable brands/names)
  7. What's the biggest objection someone might have to subscribing?

The 4-Element Landing Page Framework

Element 1: Audience Callout (Pre-Headline)

One line that calls out exactly who this is for.

Formula: "For [specific audience] who want [outcome] without [pain point]" Or: A bold statement that makes the right person think "that's me"

Example: "For homeschooling parents who refuse to choose between their kids and their business."

Element 2: Headline

The most important line on the page. Leads with transformation, not topic.

Rules:

  • Clarity beats cleverness every time
  • Lead with the outcome, not the mechanism
  • Specific > vague (include numbers where possible)
  • 1–2 lines max

Formula options:

  • "Discover How To [Big Outcome] (Even If [Objection])"
  • "The [Adjective] Newsletter That Helps [Audience] [Achieve Outcome]"
  • "[Specific Result] — One [Email/Framework/Idea] At A Time"

Example: "Discover How To Raise Independent-Thinking Kids AND Scale Your Business — Without Burning Out Or Settling For 'Good Enough' In Either"

Element 3: Value Bullets

3–5 bullets that answer "what will I get out of this?"

Rules:

  • Each bullet = one specific, tangible thing they'll receive
  • Lead with the outcome, not the topic
  • Bold the most compelling phrase per bullet
  • No vague words: "tips," "strategies," "insights"

Formula: "[What they get] so they can [why it matters]"

Example:

  • One battle-tested framework for juggling homeschooling and business — delivered every Tuesday
  • Real case studies from parents who've done both, so you can model what's working
  • Practical systems for protecting your focus time without sacrificing family presence

Element 4: CTA (Call to Action)

The subscribe button and form label.

Rules:

  • Reinforce the value, don't just say "Subscribe"
  • Create mild urgency or exclusivity if possible
  • Keep it short — 3–6 words max on the button

Examples:

  • "Join [Newsletter Name] — It's Free"
  • "Send Me The [Day] Newsletter"
  • "Yes, I Want In"
  • "Join [X]+ Readers"

Psychological Angles for Headline Variations

After writing the main copy, generate 3 headline variations:

  1. Curiosity — Tease a counterintuitive insight without giving it away
  2. Pain/Problem — Lead with the frustration they're experiencing right now
  3. Social Proof — Lead with the audience size or a specific result

Output Format

Present in this order:

[LANDING PAGE COPY]

  • Audience Callout
  • Headline
  • Value Bullets (3–5)
  • CTA

[HEADLINE VARIATIONS]

  • Curiosity angle
  • Pain/Problem angle
  • Social Proof angle

Keep copy punchy, direct, and benefit-driven. No filler. No generic marketing speak.

3 Non-Negotiable Design Rules (Remind the user)

After delivering copy, include this note:

💡 Design reminder: Once you paste this into your landing page builder, follow these 3 rules for maximum conversions:

  1. Rule of One — No nav bar, no footer links, no social buttons. One action only: subscribe or leave.
  2. Above the Fold — The opt-in form must be visible without scrolling on both desktop AND mobile.
  3. Mobile First — Design for mobile first. Most of your traffic will come from phones.

What good looks like

Clarity beats cleverness every time — the headline leads with the outcome, not the mechanism, and specific beats vague, with numbers where possible. Every value bullet is one specific, tangible thing the reader will receive, with no vague words like "tips," "strategies," or "insights." The CTA reinforces the value instead of just saying "Subscribe," in 3–6 words max. The finished page follows the Rule of One — no nav bar, no footer links, no social buttons, one action only — with the opt-in form above the fold on both desktop and mobile. Copy stays punchy, direct, and benefit-driven: no filler, no generic marketing speak.

Why use Newsletter Landing Page on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Newsletter Landing Page is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Newsletter Landing Page in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/swan-gtm/gtm-skills/tree/main/skills/daniel-bustamante/newsletter-landing-page. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Newsletter Landing Page?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Newsletter Landing Page?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Newsletter Landing Page with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Newsletter Landing Page AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by swan-gtm under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
