Examples
"Are FIIs buying or selling this week?" → Fetch last 5 days of FII data, sum net values, display buying/selling trend.
"What was FII activity over the past month?" → Fetch 20 records from the API and calculate cumulative FII net flow.
"Show FII vs DII activity for the last 10 sessions" → Tabulate both FII_Net and DII_Net for the 10 most recent trading days.
Cautions
- FII/DII data is published after market close — not available in real time during trading hours
- NSE API requires a session cookie; always initialize with a visit to
https://www.nseindia.comfirst - Values are in crores (₹ Cr) — multiply by 10 million for absolute rupee amounts
- FII/DII flow is one factor among many; don't use it as a sole buy/sell signal
