Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka

Organization

verify-nsw-judgment-l0cka

Verify that a cited New South Wales court or tribunal decision exists on the official NSW Caselaw website, resolving medium-neutral NSW citations and NSWLR references to the published decision while preserving restriction notations and the Copyright in Judicial Decisions Notice 1995 conditions. Use when the citation is already known to be a NSW court or tribunal citation (route-case-citation sends NSW citations here) and a user asks whether it is genuine, what case a NSW citation refers to, or to check NSW authorities in a document for fabrication. Do not use for other jurisdictions, subsequent treatment, case summaries or legal advice.

  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • 1 bundled files

Scripts, templates, and references the model can read while it works. Files are read-only and never executed.

  • Open source

Published by ThomasMoreAI on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/ThomasMoreAI/legal-skills-open/tree/main/au/criminal/skills/verify-nsw-judgment-l0cka
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/ThomasMoreAI/legal-skills-open.git /tmp/legal-skills-open
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/legal-skills-open/au/criminal/skills/verify-nsw-judgment-l0cka .claude/skills/verify-nsw-judgment-l0cka
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Verify NSW Judgment

Use caselaw.nsw.gov.au as the controlling source. NSW Caselaw is the official publisher for the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Court of Criminal Appeal, Land and Environment Court, District Court, Local Court, NCAT and other NSW courts and tribunals, with coverage from 1999 onward (earlier for some courts). Produce a provenance record, not a bare assertion that a case "exists".

Read ../../references/case-law-verification-method.md before verifying. It defines the outcome semantics, access rules and restriction handling.

Workflow

  1. Fix the scope.
    • Accept medium-neutral NSW citations (NSWSC, NSWCA, NSWCCA, NSWDC, NSWLC, NSWLEC, NSWCATAP, NSWCATAD and other NSW identifiers), NSWLR reported citations, and NSW case names.
    • Return OUTSIDE SCOPE for other jurisdictions, treatment analysis or advice. Note that decisions before a court's NSW Caselaw coverage start may exist without being published there; that is an UNVERIFIABLE boundary, not NOT FOUND.
  2. Resolve the citation at the official publisher.
    • Use the advanced search's Medium Neutral Citation field. The citation must include the square brackets, as the form itself states.
    • The search executes only when the request carries the form's full query string, including the site's courts and tribunals identifier parameters — a bare mnc parameter returns the empty form. Submit the search through the site's own form (directly or in a browser) rather than a hand-built minimal URL, and read the Displaying X - Y of Z marker for the result count.
    • Make one targeted lookup per citation; never crawl or bulk-download listings.
    • For an NSWLR citation, resolve to the medium-neutral citation through the site's search before concluding anything.
  3. Confirm identity.
    • Match the case name, citation, court and decision date as published, and record the NSW Caselaw decision URL.
    • A direct fetch of a decision page returns the metadata header only — citation, case name, dates, before, catchwords and the Restrictions field — which is sufficient for existence and identity. The judgment body loads in a browser session; quote checks need the rendered page or the site's document download, not the bare HTML fetch.
    • Treat a supplied case name that differs materially from the published name as a qualification, and say which differs.
  4. Respect the publisher's conditions.
    • The Copyright in Judicial Decisions Notice 1995 (NSW) permits reproduction conditioned on accuracy and proper context. Reproduce nothing inaccurately, and do not republish party names into contexts a search engine indexes.
    • Check the decision page for restriction, suppression or non-publication notations before quoting anything. Preserve any found and treat them as qualifications.
  5. Report using the result contract.

Result contract

Lead with one status: VERIFIED, VERIFIED WITH QUALIFICATIONS, UNVERIFIABLE, NOT FOUND or OUTSIDE SCOPE, as defined in the shared method. NOT FOUND means NSW Caselaw was searched by citation and case name within its coverage period and contains no matching decision — report it as a fabrication flag for human confirmation, never as an accusation.

text
Requested check: <citation or case name as supplied>
Jurisdiction: New South Wales, Australia
Citation type: <medium-neutral / reported / case name>
Official case name: <as published, or not established>
Medium-neutral citation: <[YEAR] COURT N, or not established>
Court or tribunal: <as published, or not established>
Decision date: <as published, or not established>
Coverage note: <inside NSW Caselaw coverage / possible pre-coverage decision>
Restrictions: <none observed / notation preserved verbatim>
Official sources: <exact caselaw.nsw.gov.au URLs actually inspected>
Checked: <date and Australian timezone>
Limitations and review: <what remains unverified and the human-review point>

Fail closed

Return UNVERIFIABLE, not NOT FOUND, when NSW Caselaw is unreachable, the search fails, the citation predates the court's coverage, or an NSWLR citation cannot be resolved to a medium-neutral form. Return NOT FOUND only after both a citation search and a case name search inside the coverage period returned no match. Never infer existence from an aggregator, secondary source or model memory.

Bundled files

The model reads these on demand while the skill is loaded. They are exposed as readable files and are never executed.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka AI skill do?

Why use Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/ThomasMoreAI/legal-skills-open/tree/main/au/criminal/skills/verify-nsw-judgment-l0cka. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and bundles its files and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Verify Nsw Judgment L0cka AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by ThomasMoreAI under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
