  • Markdown instructions

A SKILL.md file the model loads on demand, so it only costs tokens when a request actually matches.

  • Works with any LLM

AI skills are plain Markdown, not provider-specific code, so this works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model.

  • Self-contained

Everything the model needs lives in the instructions — no extra files to sync.

  • Open source

Published by timscheuerai on GitHub. Read the source before you install it.

Installation

Install the Graphics Designer AI skill in TypingMind to use it with any LLM, or drop it into another agent that reads SKILL.md.

1

Install in TypingMind

TypingMind installs a skill straight from its GitHub folder — it reads SKILL.md, bundles the resource files, and stores the result locally.

  1. Open the app and go to Plugins → Skills.
  2. Choose "Install from GitHub".
  3. Paste the skill folder URL below and confirm.
    https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel/tree/main/skills/graphics-designer
  4. Enable the skill in any chat where you want it available.
Plugins → Skills → Add skill → From GitHub URL, then paste the folder URL and press Continue.
2

Install in another agent

Any agent that reads the Agent Skills format can use this skill — copy the folder into that agent's skills directory.

Claude Code — .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel.git /tmp/linkedin-funnel
mkdir -p .claude/skills
cp -r /tmp/linkedin-funnel/skills/graphics-designer .claude/skills/graphics-designer
Restart Claude Code after copying so it picks up the new skill.

Use it in TypingMind

Enable Graphics Designer in any TypingMind chat and the model takes it from there. Its name and description sit in the system prompt, and the moment a request matches, the model loads the full instructions itself — you never invoke it by hand, and it costs no tokens until it is actually used.

The model loads Graphics Designer on its own as soon as a request matches it.

Works with any AI model

AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so Graphics Designer is not tied to the model it was written for. Install it once in TypingMind and use it with GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama, or a local model you run yourself — all on your own API keys.

  • Loaded only when it is needed

The system prompt carries just the name and description. The instructions are fetched on the first matching request, so an idle skill costs nothing.

  • Switch models mid-chat

Because the skill is instructions rather than code, changing model does not break it — the next model reads the same SKILL.md.

Skill instructions

This is the SKILL.md content the model loads. Read it before installing — a skill is instructions your model will follow.

Workspace: all context paths below (identity, audience, strategy, voice, brand, raw, output, index, log, workspace preferences and context scripts) resolve from context/ in the kit root. Read both the root AGENTS.md and context/AGENTS.md. Skill-local references/ and flowchart scripts/ resolve from this skill directory.

Design a graphic

Read AGENTS.md, brand/BRAND.md, the content brief and relevant positioning, audience and voice pages. Read token files or reusable assets only if they actually exist. This template includes no preapproved visual kit.

Establish the reader, takeaway, required content, dimensions and any real next action from the brief, then the information relationship: a thesis, sequence, comparison, hierarchy, evidence or reflection. Before a new composition, state a short working direction: the focal element, the reading order, and how type, space and material express the idea. A poster can communicate through form with sparse copy; a teaching graphic needs accurate, usable labels. Split dense material before shrinking it into unreadable text.

Copy on a graphic

Distill the source into a headline, useful points and necessary attribution. When the graphic accompanies a post, select the author's own lines verbatim instead of paraphrasing them into smoother copy, and do not paste the whole post. Preserve order, numbers and caveats that affect meaning. A missing number or screenshot is not permission to invent one.

On an instructional graphic, every line should tell the reader what to do or state a fact they can act on: "Create 1 folder and 1 rules file", not "the setup takes 1 afternoon". Lead with the verb and name the real thing (a folder, a command, a weekday). Descriptive lines read as AI filler. Do not force that grammar onto a quote, a name or an editorial statement.

Use dimensions from the requested destination or supplied brief. Verify current platform requirements when exact compliance matters. Infer routine layout details; ask only when a missing choice changes the content or format materially.

Visual choices

Use approved brand rules when available. Otherwise create a plain unbranded draft when that fits the request: no invented logo, author signature, corporate palette, decorative footer or mandatory CTA. Mark temporary visual choices as draft choices rather than new brand policy.

Let spacing, hierarchy and truthful relationships carry the graphic. Do not force diagrams into quotes or turn every slide into identical cards. Use readable text and meaningful connector contrast. Keep authentic product screenshots intact and use supplied photography with known permissions.

For carousels, give each page a specific job and maintain continuity. Include a call to action only when the brief provides a useful next step.

Build and inspect

Choose tools actually available in the environment. HTML/CSS or SVG works for exact text and diagrams; an image-generation tool is useful for suitable illustration work. If the user asks for a prompt, make it self-contained: exact copy, colours, composition, dimensions and references. A prompt or a generated raster is not an editable design. Use flowchart for editable process maps. The skill does not assume a bundled browser, renderer or design MCP.

Keep working assets in output/<asset-name>/ or the user-selected destination. Save editable source alongside the export. Use local or licensed fonts and verify actual font loading when rendering.

Inspect the rendered asset at its intended size and a small viewing size. Check text accuracy, hierarchy, clipping, contrast, connector collisions and missing assets. For a carousel, inspect every page and the sequence; for a banner, check the avatar and crop safe area. Make 1 deliberate refinement pass on the largest visible weakness, adjusting hierarchy, line breaks, spacing or crop before adding decoration, and reinspect. If rendering or inspection is unavailable, deliver the source and state the exact unverified step.

Report the real state: source ready (render pending), prompt prepared, rendered (inspection pending), or rendered and inspected. Never claim a visual review from source code or automated checks alone.

Return file links, dimensions and relevant limitations. Producing one graphic does not authorize changing shared brand rules or publishing it.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Graphics Designer AI skill do?

Create an individual graphic, carousel or banner using the client's supplied visual rules, or a neutral unbranded layout when requested.

Why use Graphics Designer on TypingMind?

Because you install it once and use it with any model. Graphics Designer is plain Markdown rather than provider-specific code, so the same skill runs on GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or a local model — and you can switch model mid-chat without it breaking. TypingMind runs on your own API keys, so you pay providers directly instead of a per-seat subscription, and your skills and chats stay in your own storage.

How do I install Graphics Designer in TypingMind?

Open Plugins → Skills → Install from GitHub in TypingMind and paste https://github.com/timscheuerai/linkedin-funnel/tree/main/skills/graphics-designer. TypingMind reads its SKILL.md and installs it as a skill you can enable per chat.

Which AI models can use Graphics Designer?

Any model you connect in TypingMind. AI skills are plain Markdown instructions rather than provider-specific code, so GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models can all load this skill when a request matches it.

How many AI models can I use with Graphics Designer?

As many as you like. As long as a model supports skills, you can use Graphics Designer with it — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Llama and more — all on TypingMind with your own API keys.

Is the Graphics Designer AI skill free?

Yes. It is published on GitHub by timscheuerai under the MIT license. You only pay your own AI provider for the tokens you use.

What are AI skills?

An AI skill is a reusable instruction bundle that teaches an AI model how to do one specific task. It follows the open Agent Skills format: a SKILL.md file with a name and description, plus any scripts, templates or reference files the model may need. The model reads the instructions only when your request matches the skill, so an installed skill costs nothing until it is used.

How are AI skills different from plugins or MCP servers?

A plugin or MCP server gives a model new tools to call — code that runs somewhere and returns a result. An AI skill gives the model knowledge and process instead: how to approach a task, which steps to follow, what good output looks like. Skills are plain Markdown, so they need no server, no API key and no runtime, and they work with any model.
